Vodafone launches South West STD Pack
- Calls to all Southern states (except calls to Mumbai) at Re 1/minute
Bangalore, May 19, 2009: Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular services providers, today launched the Rs. 14 South West STD Pack offer for its prepaid customers across Karnataka. With this pack, Vodafone customers in Karnataka can make STD calls to all neighboring Southern states namely Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa and Maharashtra except Mumbai at Re 1/min only.
This 30 day validity pack can be activated by through a sms ‘ACT 14’ sent to 997 (toll-free from Vodafone mobile) or through a recharge for Rs. 14 thru e-top or physical voucher. Vodafone customers can enjoy the benefit of this pack for a rental of Rs.14.
Speaking on the launch, K Sankara Narayanan, CEO, Vodafone Essar South Limited said, “Karnataka has a huge migrant population from neighboring states with many prepaid users who need to keep in touch regularly. The Rs. 14 South West STD Pack offers customers the easy option to stay connected at an affordable rate of Re 1/min.”
