It’s been more than a decade since Internet first came to India and its been a slow & steady journey in terms of subscriber. Still we are short of proposed target and lot has to be done. The Internet subscriber rate of growth in India needs to be much higher than the current 10-15% (variable across last 4 years or so). We have a lot to do to meet the set target of achieving 20 million dial up and 20 million broadband subscribers i.e. 40 million subscribers in all by the year 2010.
