Chandigarh, May 08, 2009: Reliance Communications, India’s largest and only telecom service provider to offer nationwide GSM and CDMA services, today announced a massive reduction in its CDMA STD tariffs for both new and existing subscribers in Punjab.

In line with its policy of offering innovative solutions to its customers, Reliance Mobile has introduced a new tariff plan, where customers can make local and STD calls to any phone in India at 50p/min from the second minute onwards. The first minute will be charged at Re 1 for local and Rs. 1.50 for STD calls. This facility is being offered to both new and existing customers through a special tariff voucher of Rs. 39 only, which offers this extraordinary tariff for full 30 days.

“We are confident that this particular product offering would enable a large segment of the people to become STD users because of the convenience of low tariffs across networks. Once again, Reliance has exhibited its commitment towards providing affordable services to more and more people.”, said Mr. Arvind Kumar, Regional Hub Head – Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and J&K Circles, Reliance Communications.

“We expect this product to be of great value to the people of Punjab as the STD usage in our state is extremely high and this voucher greatly reduces the STD tariff on any network.”, said Mr. Sanjeev Garg, CEO – Punjab Circle, Reliance Communications.
