Idea goes on the Hunt for the 'Pride of Uttar Pradesh'

Continuing with its commitment to offer unmatched communication and infotainment to its subscribers, IDEA Cellular, the pan Indian mobile operator, has once again launched a unique talent hunt for singing sensations of Uttar Pradesh. This time, IDEA Cellular is on a hunt for the 'Pride of Uttar Pradesh' (UP ke Super Singer ki Khoj)

, through a talent hunt show, to be presented on Sahara Samay on TV, and Big FM on Radio, starting August 27th, 2010.
'Idea Pride of Uttar Pradesh' is a singing contest which will identify young music talent from across UP, and parts of Uttarakhand, and give them an opportunity to perform in front of celebrated artists such as Mishab Ali and Sunil Anand, besides millions of viewers of leading Hindi TV Channel, Sahara Samay, and listeners of Big FM.
Flagging off the 'Idea Pride of Uttar Pradesh', Mr. N.F. Aibara, Chief Operating Officer - Uttar Pradesh East, IDEA Cellular said, “Music is at the core of Idea's marketing and brand building strategy, and the people of UP have always celebrated Music - be it Hindi Classical, Bollywood, or Folk music. Keeping these synergies in mind, we have launched 'Idea Pride of Uttar Pradesh' to provide a unique platform to the latent singing talent in the state. We are confident that the youth of the state will turn out in huge numbers to exhibit their talent, and win the crown of 'UP ka Super Singer'.”
Audition for 'Idea Pride of Uttar Pradesh' is now underway in all major cities of the state. Interested candidates can appear for audition in the below mentioned cities, starting 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on the given day.

In the first round, candidates will be selected by an expert jury comprising of renowned singers, before reaching the second round of audition where another panel of judges will screen the singers. Finally, the selected candidates will get a chance to be part of the 52-week show on Sahara Samay, which will be telecast twice a week starting, August 27th 2010.
