IDEA felicitates winners of National Mega Roaming Contest

IDEA Cellular, the pan-India mobile operator, felicitated the winners of its National Mega Roaming Contest at a special function organized in the city today. Two national winners drove away in swank new Ford Ikon cars, while 800 other IDEA customers won exciting prizes and discount coupons as a result of their participation in the roaming contest. The contest was a joint marketing initiative with Ford India Pvt. Ltd., Samsonite South Asia Private Ltd. and TravelPort Pvt. Ltd

Mohit Mahipal, an IDEA customer from Rajasthan, and Pardeep Singh from Haryana – were declared Bumper prize winners and were presented the keys of their new cars by Mr. Pradeep Shrivastava, Chief Marketing Officer, IDEA Cellular. Additionally, over 300 contestants walked away with Samsonite luggage bags and travel vouchers from Travel Port, while 500 other IDEA customers received discount vouchers of Samsonite.

IDEA has received tremendous response from subscribers in Delhi and Haryana which resulted in majority of winners coming from these states. 112 IDEA customers from theses two telecom service areas won prizes in the Mega Roaming Contest.

An exulted Mohit Mahipal said, “In my experience, IDEA offers the best roaming network and has given me lot more than what I could have asked for. Winning a car is a dream and I am thankful to IDEA for making this dream come true”.

IDEA customer Pardeep Singh said, “Mobile phone is my lifeline, and IDEA has ensured that it keeps running seamlessly. Now that I have won a car for roaming on the IDEA network, I can say with great confidence that ‘An Idea can change your life’.”

The IDEA Mega Roaming Quiz Contest comprised of multiple questions and answers. IDEA customers could participate in the contest by roaming on its national network, and winners were decided on the basis of their scores in the quiz.
