25 May, 2010

Handygo has yet again raised the bar in the mobile entertainment to the next level. They have partnered with Sony BMG for exclusive digital rights for 12 premium movies.

The portfolio underlines the holistic approach of the company in content acquisition as the collection is a balanced one including premium movies from both Bollywood and Tollywood.

With this acquisition, Handygo has increased its presence and visibility in the Bollywood and South mobile WAP market. According to the company, South is the largest regional market

in mobile music monetization. According to Mr. Praveen Rajpal, CEO of Handygo, “regional content accounts for 40-50% of the mobile music market in India. Hence, Handygo is looking to acquire more content in the regional space."

The movies include Raajneeti, Raavanan, I Hate Luv Storys, Crook and many such mega releases. Handygo is the sole owner of WAP content for all these movies. The content will be

deployed on the WAP platform across almost all operators including Airtel, Reliance, Idea, Tata, Aircel and Vodafone. Customers can play contests on IVR, download wallpapers,

animations and music and enhance their overall experience and engagement with their favorite stars and also win various exciting prizes. Reliance customers can send RAV or RAJ to 55678 for playing the contest. Airtel customers can send RAJ to 55678 for playing the contest.
