Greenpacket’s triple win for 2010 4GWE Product of the Year Award

Kuala Lumpur, 30 January, 2011

Greenpacket, a leading developer of next generation mobile broadband and networking solutions, scored three wins for the 2010 4GWE Product of the Year Award. Greenpacket received recognition for its DX WiMAX Indoor VoIP Modem (DX); UH WiMAX USB High Gain Modem (UH); and its carrier-grade connection management solution, the Intouch Connection Management Platform (ICMP).

The 4GWE Product of the Year Award recognizes the most innovative products brought to market in 2010. According to Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC, Product of the Year Award have been granted to companies who have proven their commitment to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace. The award also recognizes companies that have demonstrated vision, leadership and thoroughness.

Kelvin Lee, Senior General Manager of Green Packet Berhad said, “Winning three 2010 4GWE Product of the Year awards reaffirms Greenpacket’s commitment to innovating high quality products that address real market needs.

We work closely with 4G and 3G operators from the product development stage to consistently deliver superior products and we’re very happy to receive recognition for our results.”

Greenpacket’s award-winning DX and UH modems are already recognized by 4G operators to be best-in-class devices with superior indoor and outdoor signal quality performance, rich features and attractive form factor. Available in 2.3, 2.5 and 3.5GHz frequencies, the DX and UH feature High Gain 5dBi Omni antennas for the best quality signals and indoor signal penetration. Both devices have been adopted by leading WiMAX operators across the globe such as Vividwireless, Australia; Etihad Atheeb Telecom, Saudi Arabia; Packet One Networks, Malaysia; the Vtel group in Eurasia; and Augere in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Greenpacket’s ICMP, on the other hand, has dominated the APAC market as the No.1 connection management solution and has also made inroads into the North American market with monumental deals in the pipeline. The ICMP extends operators’ control over their access networks through a single and highly-scalable platform. It also enables operators to execute seamless and session persistent data offloading, and offer value-added services to raise ARPU while optimizing their networks. ICMP supports WiFi, WiMAX, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and CDMA networks and it is now LTE-ready.

Commenting on Greenpacket’s win, Carl Ford, founder and community developer of Crossfire Media said, "I’d like to extend congratulations to Greenpacket for their achievement in advancing 4G technologies. The entire wireless industry looks forward to more innovative solutions in the future."

The 2010 4GWE Product of the Year Award by Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) in collaboration with Crossfire Media is in its second year. The full list of winners is featured on the 4GWE website and 4g-wirelessevolution.tmcnet.com.
