Comverse BSS Solution Also Provides Full Range of Customer Management Services

Comverse today announced that Cycle30, a newly formed subsidiary of integrated telecommunications provider GCI (NASDAQ: GNCMA), selected a Comverse Business Support System (BSS) solution to support a fully hosted billing platform for mid-tier telecom, cable and utility operators in North America. |
The hosted services include multi-service charging and billing for existing and emerging services across various markets.
“We selected Comverse’s billing engine to support our hosted, order-to-cash billing services based on our successful experience working with Comverse at GCI for many years,” said Jim Dunlap, president of Cycle30.
“Our hosted services are ideal for operators that do not want to make the upfront capital investment in an onsite billing solution or fund the staffing of an IT organization to manage their billing systems,” Dunlap said. “By working with Cycle30, operators benefit from an end-to-end billing solution as a service that they can pay for as they use it over time.”
The Comverse BSS solution is optimized for the converging telecommunications market, bringing Cycle30 an advanced set of active customer management capabilities, including a call center application and order management. Widely adopted around the globe, the Comverse BSS solution enables operators to grow revenues, build loyalty and reduce operating expenses.
“Cycle30’s parent company GCI has been a longstanding multi-play customer of a Comverse BSS solution, using it for their convergent billing,” said Garrison Macri, Senior Vice President, North America, at Comverse, the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling value-added messaging and content services, converged billing and active customer management, and IP communications.
“In fact, GCI’s success in transforming its back-office systems to a single Comverse platform was a key enabler for the creation of Cycle30,” Macri said. “Unlike other hosting companies, Cycle30 offers extensive experience from the operator side to provide high-quality hosted billing services to other operators in North America.”
