Reliance Communications slashes prepaid GSM tariffs

  • New subscribers can avail offer through First Recharge of Rs. 46
  • Existing Subscribers can migrate to this plan with Special Tariff Voucher of Rs. 45

Chandigarh, April 1, 2009: Reliance Communications, India’s largest and only telecom service provider to offer nationwide GSM and CDMA services, today announced a massive reduction in its GSM tariffs for both new and existing subscribers.

Continuing with its philosophy of providing best value to its subscribers, Reliance Mobile has introduced a new tariff plan, where customers can make local calls to any Reliance Mobile at 30p, local calls to all other phones at 60p and what’s more, STD calls at a never before price of Re.1 per minute for a period of 90 days. Also, the subscribers would be able to make night calls to any Reliance Mobile in at 5p only. Further, the customers would be entitled to a talktime of Rs. 20 for all calls. This benefit would be available on new Reliance connections activated with a first recharge of Rs. 46 only.

For existing subscribers, a special tariff voucher of Rs. 45 has been introduced which would convert them to lifetime validity and offer the same benefits to the subscriber for a period of 90 days, without altering the current benefit of daily talktime credit. Also, unlimited free night calling benefit would also be a part of the bouquet of benefits.
