3GPP & COAI join hands to support first ever conference on LTE in India

3GPP an international project defining LTE (Long Term Evolution) standards, the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) and Bharat Exhibitions have come together to organize India’s first & exclusive conference on LTE – LTE INDIA 2010.
Under this unique association 3GPP & COAI are supporting their first ever event in India, organized by Bharat Exhibitions and scheduled to be held in New Delhi on May 28 2010 at Le Meridien.
LTE INDIA 2010 will provide an update on mobile broadband; current capabilities, the eco – system, drivers and directions for future evolution to LTE and beyond. It will also discuss services and applications, business models and challenges including solving spectrum needs for capacity and coverage requirements.
According to Mr.Adrian Scrase, Head of 3GPP Mobile Competence Centre: “LTE INDIA 2010, will be an ideal platform to set the future roadmap for LTE in India. We will encourage Regulators, Operators and Manufacturers to be a part of LTE - The most successful mobile broadband Standard. We will demonstrate that this is not just a new radio technology; there is a whole eco-system – all fully standardized and ready to go. LTE specifications give Operators a way to deliver more speed, more data and a better experience in the most cost effective way. As discussions move from ‘Why LTE?’ to ‘When LTE?’, we will put the Standards experts alongside Indian Telecommunications experts to discuss the time-scales for getting this technology in to the hands of Indian users.”
LTE INDIA 2010 will offer the best business platform in the country for Telecom Industry to conduct business & introduce LTE service offerings as it is an ideal stage between the key influencers and decision makers under one roof. This conference will definitely help in strategizing a strong vision for LTE technology in the future India.
